SURVIVAL OF THE MISFITS…
Set in a futuristic world, BACKGAMMON is a clever black comedy,
a tongue-in-cheek look at the runaway values that have created
the never-ending 9-5 loop. Making a buck just to pay for that
stylish car to look good while you drive to work to make a
buck…crazy! Maia, Zorro, Rosy, Karsten, Mark, Olly and
Guido make up a collection of misfits on the edge of society
who voice passionate displeasure with the current status quo.
This group of nonconformist oddballs are making the rules
in this flashy, fast paced film with a rapid-fire cutting
style coupled with a soundtrack featuring a mix of US independent
bands and European techno artists.
